Towson University Athletics

A former North Carolina Tar Heel football player, Michael Harris oversees the academic support program for Tiger Football.

A member of the Towson staff since 2005, Michael has also worked with the tennis and softball teams.   

In addition to his academic support duties, Michael coordinates the Tigers' Leadership Development Program, Freshmen Transition Program, Faculty Guest Coach Program and serves as the SAMS System liaison for Towson Athletics.

Michael graduated from theNorth Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies. He holds a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Baltimore/Towson University MBA program.

Prior to coming to Towson, Michael was the Assistant Director of Academic Support Services for Student-Athletes at Western Carolina University.

The Rougemont, N.C. native was a three-year football letter winner North Carolina. He was a member of the UNC football team that defeated Auburn University in the 2001 Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl.
