Biography
2015-16: He was the only Tiger to start all 33 games … Named to the All-CAA Defensive and Academic Team … In addition to averaging 6.7 points, Parker-Rivera ranked ninth in the CAA in rebounding (6.6), fourth in blocked shots per game (1.2) and third in offensive rebounds per game (2.9) … During the season, Parker-Rivera became the all-time program leader in victories (75) and games played (132) …Parker-Rivera is sixth all-time in blocked shots (128) and seventh in rebounding (687) … He scored in double figures eight times … Scored a season-best 13 points four times (Gallaudet, Delaware, Elon and James Madison) … Clinched a Towson victory at Elon by blocking a shot with five seconds remaining that preserved Towson’s two-point advantage … He had one double-double against Gallaudet (13 points, 13 rebounds) … Parker-Rivera grabbed double-digit rebounds four times, including 11 each against William & Mary and Northeastern in the CAA Tournament … Grabbed at least six rebounds in game 23 times … Finished with at least three blocks in a game five times … Led Towson in rebounding seven times, steals 11 times and blocked shots 15 times.
2014-15: Started 31 of the 32 games…gave his starting spot to senior Jamel Flash on Senior Day…averaged 7.1 points and 5.9 rebounds per game…ranked second on the team in rebounds while tieing for the team lead with 29 blocks…stuffed the stat sheet with six points, seven rebounds and five assists against Morgan State…pulled down season-high 12 rebounds and blocked three shots against Monmouth…had 13 points and 10 rebounds for first career double-double against Goucher…posted season-best 15 points against Fairleigh Dickinson…blocked three shots, to go along with 14 points and 11 rebounds in a road win at Elon…tied season-high with three blocks at College of Charleston.
2013-14: Started all 36 games during his sophomore season…averaged 6.2 points and 5.2 rebounds…ranked second on the team, and 14th in the CAA, in rebounding…posted 44 blocks which ranked tied for fifth in the CAA with teammate Jerrelle Benimon…scored six points and grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds in a win against The Citadel…scored a career-high 13 points in a win at Northeastern…had only 16 turnovers in 912 minutes of action…posted seven points, nine rebounds and a career-high five blocked shots in the CIT win at ETSU.
2012-13: Played in all 31 games as a freshman, averaging 15.3 minutes per game…ranked fifth on the team, and fifth among CAA freshmen, in rebounding at 3.1 boards per game…averaged 2.8 points per game and shot 44.6 percent from the floor…ranked fourth on the team with 16 blocked shots…scored seven points and grabbed a season-high nine rebounds in win over Radford on Nov. 16…posted seven points on 3-for-4 shooting to lead the Tigers past James Madison on Jan. 19…registered five points and eight rebounds in win at Hofstra on Feb. 16…played a season-high 25 minutes in a win at Vermont on Dec. 5…recorded five or more rebounds in a game six times.
HIGH SCHOOL: Rated as the No. 2 player in the state of Connecticut coming out of high school by ESPN.com…three-star prospect according to Scout.com…won back-to-back state championships his final two years at St. Joseph’s High School…two-time all-state selection in Connecticut as well as a two-time All-FCIAC performer…averaged a double-double with 17.2 points and 10.1 rebounds per game in 2010, leading St. Joe’s to a state championship and earning tournament MVP honors along the way…was invited to the Reebok All-American camp in 2011 and played for the Connecticut Basketball Club, coached by J.R. Hargreaves…honor roll student all four years at St. Joseph’s.
