Biography

2015: Appeared in all 11 games…did not record any offensive stats…recorded nine tackles on special teams…had two tackles in the win at Stony Brook and three stops at William & Mary.

2014: Appeared in four games before season was cut short due to injury…had one catch for nine yards against North Carolina Central…member of the CAA All-Academic Team.

2013: Appeared in all 16 games, earning one start…made seven tackles on special teams…had season-high three tackles against New Hampshire.

2012: Appeared in seven games…carried the ball three times for six yards…ran the ball two times for five yards in the victory over New Hampshire.

High School: Played for head coach Lance Carter at Mayde Creek High School…versatile performer who saw action at fullback, offensive tackle and defensive end…two-year team captain…earned first-team all-district as an offensive tackle…honored as the top offensive lineman in the district as a senior…led team in tackles as a junior…also a member of the wrestling and track and field teams.

Personal: Born December 12, 1992…son of Lamonica Benton…has one brother and one sister…majoring in health care management.
