Biography
2016: Served as a tri-captain during her senior season … second year as a team captain … played and started in all 19 games as a midfielder … finished with six points on six assists, tying for the seventh-most helpers in a single season … did most of her damage during conference games, getting five CAA assists … had a three-game assist streak from Sept. 23-Sept. 30 … had back-to-back assists against UNCW (Sept. 14) and College of Charleston (Sept. 16) … took 17 shots, including three on three separate occasions … put five chances on goal … played in 1,241 minutes for Towson, the sixth-most by a player this season … one of the team’s go-to players for corner kicks and set pieces in the offensive third.
2015: Started in all 19 games during her junior season … played 1,049 minutes while serving as a co-captain with Nikki Nicholas and Hollie Garber … finished the season with four points on one goal and two assists … scored against High Point (Aug. 28) in a 2-2 draw … logged an assist on Nicholas’ goal against Mount St. Mary’s (Sept. 11), while adding a helper on the Tigers’ goal at Hofstra.
2014: Played in 19 matches, starting 12 … took two shots at Villanova and against UNC Wilmington … posted an assist against Xavier in a 2-0 win and at Drexel in a 2-2 tie … took nine shots … an option for Towson to take corner kicks … played in Towson’s first CAA Tournament match at Hofstra.
2013: Played in 14 matches in her first season as a key reserve ... took two shots at Radford (Aug. 30).
With FC Frederick Premier: Has played with the team since 2008 … served as captain for the last three years … won the state cup championship in 2013 and was a state cup finalist in 2010 and 2012 … played with the Maryland ODP and the Region 1 ODP in 2011 … participated in the National Development Camp in 2012.
At Tuscarora H.S.: Played soccer for Coach Mark Wolcott and the Titans … reached the Maryland 3A West Regional semifinals three straight years … won the Maryland 3A state title as a freshman … scored eight goals and 13 assists for 29 points as a senior … holds the school record for most assists in a season (15) and career (43), most games played and started and most consecutive games played … scored 16 goals for her career … NSCAA Scholar All-American and All-South Regional All-American in 2012 … MACS first-team all-state honoree in 2011 and 2012 … honored by the Frederick News Post as the Player of the Year in 2012 and earned spots on the first team in 2011 and second team in 2010 … honored by the Frederick Gazette three times as an all-area player … two-year team captain … four-year Maryland Scholar Athlete … four-year member of the High Honor Roll.
Personal: Career goal is to be a physical therapist … has volunteered with the Golden Mile soccer program … roots for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins, Chelsea FC and Real Madrid … lists winning her high school state title as a starting freshman and winning the state cup with her club team as her most memorable experiences … daughter of Lauralei and Jerry Marshall … father is a federal agent … mother is a care giver/companion … has two brothers and a sister … father played football for California University (Pa.) … brother Josh plays football for Albright College (Pa.) … major is biology.
