Biography

2019: Started in 47 games…had a .315 batting average….she had 31 runs on 46 hits, four doubles, one triple and 13 RBIs…Had a .356 slugging percentage and 227 put outs…Had 11 multi-hit games…Thies had four at-bats with three hits, one double and two runs vs. George Washington on March 13 to help the Tigers defeat the Colonials.

2018: All-NISC All-Region Team … Played in 41 games and started each contest … Finished with a .283 batting average, .392 on-base percentage, and a .313 slugging percentage … Scored 30 runs and had 28 hits … Had five multi-hit games … She drove in a career best three runs and had two hits in a win against UNCW … Had 10 RBIs and three doubles … Had 10 sacrifice bunts, which was tied for fourth in the CAA and a pair of sacrifice flies … Threw out three base stealers during the NISC Tournament … Had a season best six-game hitting streak from April 6-15 … Helped Towson set a program record with 42 wins and make its first postseason appearance in program history.

Prior To Towson: Four-time all-league honoree … as a senior was named her high school team’s MVP … in her junior year, she earned defensive MVP honors.
 
Personal: Majoring in communications … hobbies include surfing, drawing and painting … favorite professional teams are the Angels and Rams … favorite author is John Steinbeck and her favorite actor is Jim Carey … favorite meal is steak and favorite musician is Gwen Stefani … daughter of Jeff and Laura Thies.
