Total Tiger Mentoring Program

Imagine that during your college career, you had someone to teach, guide, advise and demonstrate the do's and don't's to you in regards to your respective or prospective career path. What would you have learned? What opportunities might you have had?

In the upcoming year, Towson Athletics seeks to place 15 percent (approximately 90) of our student-athletes with summer employment and internship opportunities. We want to build a network of Tiger Alumni and friends to connect with Tiger student-athletes as mentors, career advisors, internship providers, and employers. Are you willing to help a young Tiger?

A few words from some Tigers about the relationships they had with their mentors:

- "Coach Antwaine showed me how to push harder when things get tough. He showed how to become a better man ever since I met him. He also taught me how to stay positive when things don't go my way. Coach, I appreciate everything you have done for me. I know that I can count on you to have my back."- Terrance West, former Tiger football student-athlete and 94th pick in the 2014 NFL draft.

- "A man who loves to help, encourage and inspire. Someone that I can trust with my life, someone I can look to for a real-honest-heartfelt opinion that I value highly each and every day in any situation." - Gerrard Sheppard, former football student-athlete

- "You impacted my attitude towards life...that it's not what you go through but how you respond to it." - RaShawn Polk, Towson University Class of 2012 and former men's basketball student-athlete

- "When I made the decision to come to Towson University, I knew that coming home was a big part in my decision. The 'on the field' experience during this big turnaround has been amazing; but what means the most to me is the interaction I have with those who show they truly care off the field. Coach Antwaine has been a great mentor to me and I'm fortunate to have him in my life. It's evident that he loves what he does which is demonstrated by his passion and that's not to mention his support on the field." - Leon Kinnard, former football student-athlete

- "I am happy to report that the Towson Tigers Softball team added immeasurably to our event. They were positive and caring towards our students. Their abundant enthusiasm was infectious-they exceeded the needs of the situation. Numerous parents and staff members have commented about how impressed they were with the team. As one of the primary organizers, I could not have been happier with their conduct. They helped to make the event fun for everyone involved." - Any Parsley, principal, The St. Elizabeth School of Baltimore
