The 1938 men’s soccer team posted an undefeated season and was inducted in the Towson University Hall of Fame in 2002.
Then the Golden Knights, the team finished the season with an 8-0-1 record and won the Maryland Collegiate Championship. They outscored their opponents by a 25-2 margin. Included among their wins was a 3-0 victory over perennial powers Virginia and a 3-0 win over Maryland.
In 1938, the team recorded 10-1 and 2-1 wins over Elizabethtown, a 3-0 win over Virginia, a 3-0 win over McDaniel, a 1-0 victory over Frostburg, a 2-0 win over Blue Ridge, a draw against Johns Hopkins, 1-0 victory over Salisbury, and a 3-0 win over University of Maryland.

John Shock,
Howard Stottlemyer,
Carville Lauerstein,
Tom Goedeke, and
Dan Austerlitz - along with Coach "Doc" Minnegan, who were inducted into the Towson University Athletic Hall of Fame.
