Are YOU up for the challenge? Your participation goes a long way. Your gift of $25 or more will impact your former team, but it’s your SUPPORT that goes the furthest! Your generosity and involvement in Towson Athletics is irreplaceable, and we thank you for setting a philanthropic example for current student-athletes.
For the 2018-19 season, Towson Athletics challenges our alumni-athletes to surpass 25 percent alumni-athlete participation.
What is the Alumni Athlete Challenge?
The Alumni Athlete Challenge is a friendly competition between all Towson teams to drive as many of their alumni to give back to Towson Athletics as possible. The minimum gift requirement to be counted is $25, and gifts must be made between July 1, 2018 through May 28, 2019.
There are three prizes up for grabs:
- The team with the highest alumni participation will win the top prize of $5,000 to support their program.
- The team that fundraises the most money from alumni will be awarded $2,500.
- The team that has the greatest percentage of new donors (have never donated to Towson Athletics or did not donate last fiscal year) will be awarded $2,500.
With this in mind, there are many possible outcomes. One team can take home all three categories, or two. Or three different teams can come out as winners. The three categories will be tracked throughout the challenge right here on this page.
All alumni-athletes that make a donation this fiscal year will receive a special magnet (pictured below) in the mail to recognize them as Tigers who give back.

Instructions to participate and give back to your program online:
- Click here, or visit: https://towsontigers.com/sports/2018/6/25/new-taf-gifts.aspx.
- Choose your frequency (one-time, monthly, yearly, etc.)
- Enter the amount you wish to donate (at least $25.00 to count in the challenge!)
- To give to your former program, select it from the “(Select Fund)” drop down.
- If you wish to support all Tigers, please designate your gift to the Tiger Athletic Fund (unrestricted).
- Fill-out the remainder of the form.

If you prefer to
mail in a check, please make payable to TU Foundation, Inc. memo line should contain the fund you wish to support i.e. “Baseball” or “Gymnastics.” All checks should be mailed in an envelope addressed to: Tiger Athletic Fund, c/o Hayley Ross • 8000 York Road • Towson, MD 21252-0001.
Please be sure to secure your participation before May 28, 2019. The Tiger Athletic Fund will check in with alumni periodically with Challenge standings.
