2014: Appeared in 10 games, making nine starts…went 2-3 with a 3.86 ERA…struck out 22 over 42 innings…did not allow an earned run over four innings in his first start at Wake Forest…allowed just one hit over five shutout innings to earn the victory against Army…tossed seven shutout innings, allowing just four hits and striking out three, in a victory over Monmouth.

2013: Made two appearances before season cut short due to injury…did not allow a run and strucke out six over 4.1 innings of relief…struck out five over three shutout innings in 16-inning victory over McNeese State…pitched 1.1 scoreles innings of relief to earn the save against Nicholls State.

2012: Appeared in 21 games, making five starts…went 4-4 with a 5.04 ERA and three saves…struck out 57 over 64.1 innings…fanned seven over 4.1 innings against Louisiana-Lafayette…allowed one run over five innings to earn the victory against Navy…tossed 4.1 shutout innings of reief to earn win against George Mason…earned first save after throwing 3.1 innings of shutout relief against Delaware…allowed two hits over four innings to earn the save against UMES…pitched 4.2 innings of relief to earn the victory over James Madison…received a no-decision in start against Delaware in CAA Tournament.

2011: Appeared in 15 games, making six starts…went 4-1 with a 3.04 ERA…allowed 48 hits and struck out 34 over 50.1 innings…pitched out of ninth inning jam by starting the second triple play in school history…caught a line drive back to the mound and threw to second base to start the 1-4-3 triple play…made first career start against UMBC…pitched five shutout innings to earn first career victory against Bucknell…allowed one run over a career-long eight innings to earn the victory against VCU…struck out six over 7.1 innings in a no decision against William & Mary.

HIGH SCHOOL: Three-year starter for head coach Kevin Kelly at Atholton High School…led the Raiders to a 20-5 record and a berth in the semi-finals of Maryland state tournament as a senior…posted a 4-1 record with five saves and a 2.96 ERA as a senior…earned All-Howard County honors as a junior and senior…honorable mention All-Metro pick…batted .403 as a senior…played the infield and pitched for the Raiders…team captain…scored 28 runs and had 20 RBIs…also played high school football.

PERSONAL:  Born May 31, 1992…son of Carlos and Mary Acker…has one younger brother…graduated with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a minor in business administration.
