Biography

2018: Appeared in three games out of the bullpen... struck out four in two innings ... struck out three against Albany.

2017: Appeared in two games out of the bullpen…made season debut against Maryland Eastern Shore…tossed two-thirds of an inning against Charleston.

2016:  Appeared in one game before season was cut short due to injury…made the transition to the mound in the fall.

2015: Appeared in 32 games, making 24 starts…hit .182 with one double and six RBIs…drew two walks and scored a pair of runs in the series finale at USC…hit safely in all three games he played in the Wake Forest Tournament…doubled to drive in a run, giving Towson the lead as part of an eight-run eighth inning in a win over William & Mary…drove in a pair of runs in a victory at George Mason.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Played for head coach Ken King at Chesapeake High School…earned county player of the year honors as a senior after hitting .479 and going 9-0 with a 0.49 ERA…helped lead the Cougars to the 4A state championship…selected to play in the Brooks Robinson All-Star Game…also a member of the football team.

PERSONAL:  Born October 10, 1996…son of Steven and Tracy Ruszin…has one sister…favorite professional teams are the Baltimore Orioles and Baltimore Ravens…most memorable moment was winning the state championship as a senior…majoring in information technology.
