Veteran first baseman with the potential to be a strong lefthanded hitter ... has plenty of offensive potential ... should also see action as designated hitter ... did very well in the Fall ... has demonstrated power to all fields ... played for Maryland Redbirds in the Cal Ripken Sr. League in 2005 ... honored as the league’s Player of the Week in June, 2005  after batting .286 with two doubles, two home runs and nine runs batted in ... appeared in 16 games for the Maryland Redbirds and batted .250.

2007 Season:   Appeared in 26 games and started 14 times ...  made seven starts at first base ... started at designated hitter seven times ... batted .155 with two doubles, two home runs and nine runs batted in ... made three errors in 78 fielding chances for a .962 fielding percentage ... helped Tigers to a 10-9 win over Hofstra by driving in the game-winning run with a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the tenth inning ... hit solo homer in 9-8 loss at Delaware ... helped Tigers to a 9-8 win over Delaware with an RBI double ... also belted a solo homer in Tigers’ 10-2 loss to fourth-ranked North Carolina ... contributed a pinch hit two-run single to Tigers’ 19-2 win over George Washington ... hit a pinch-hit double in Tigers’ 3-2 loss to Hofstra ... walked and scored a run in Tigers’ win at Mount St. Mary’s ... singled and scored a run in Tigers’ win over Delaware State ... had an RBI single in win at UMBC.

2005 Season:   Returned to the program in pre-season after missing the 2004 season ...  played in 24 games as reserve first baseman ... started seven times ... made three starts at first base and four starts at designated hitter ... handled 69 fielding chances without an error ... batted .200 with three doubles, one home run and four runs batted in ... drew nine walks and was hit by a pitch three times ... started both ends of a doubleheader sweep over Le Moyne ... had a pinch-hit single against Virginia Commonwealth in 6-3 loss to the Rams ... starting first baseman in 14-2 victory over Mount St. Mary’s ... was hit by a pitch twice, scored a run and had one RBI ... also made 12 putouts against The Mount ... went one-for-three and scored a run in record-setting 30-3 win over Richmond ... hit a two-run homer in the ninth inning of Tigers’ 16-9 loss to Old Dominion ... had two hits, including a double and a run scored, in Tigers’ 10-3 win over Bucknell ... started at designated hitter in Tigers’ 7-5 win at Maryland ... reached base four times with a single and three walks ... had one run scored and one RBI against the Terrapins ... doubled in only plate appearance in 16-14 loss at William & Mary.

Background:   All-County performer for the Colonials of Coach Andy Sidorick ... helped the Colonials win the Montgomery County divisional championship ... batted .430 as a senior with eight home runs and 24 runs batted in ... also had three saves as a pitcher ... honor roll student three times in four years.
