Biography

2015: Missed the season due to injury.

2014:  Red-shirted.

2013:  Appeared in 15 games, making 14 starts…went 1-6 with a 4.96 ERA and one save…struck out 43 over 78.0 innings…allowed one earned run over 5.1 innings against Old Dominion…followed it up by surrendering just one run over 7.2 innings against Pittsburgh…gave up two runs over seven innings to earn the victory over UNC Wilmington…pitched two-thirds of an inning out of the bullpen to earn the save against UNCW in the CAA Tournament…tossed six innings against Florida Atlantic in the Chapel Hill Regional.

2012: Made 19 appearances, with 15 coming out of the bullpen…went 1-2 with a 6.85 ERA…tossed 47.1 innings…pitched four innings of shutout baseball to earn the victory in his first career start against UMBC…allowed one run over four innings against James Madison…threw 3.1 innings of relief against Delaware in the CAA Tournament.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for head coach Kevin Kelly at Atholton High School…selected as the Howard County Pitcher of the Year after going 6-0 with a 0.54 ERA as a senior…struck out 45 over 39 innings…had a season-best 13 strikeouts in a victory over River Hill High School…two-time All-Howard County selection…earned all-county honors at catcher as a junior.

PERSONAL:  Born May 26, 1993…son of Michael and Joanne Beers…has one older brother…both parents are graduates of Towson…favorite video game is Call of Duty…favorite TV show is The Office…majoring in accounting.
