Biography

Veteran righthander with plenty of ability ... did very well as a relief pitcher last season ... has become a much smarter pitcher  and his confidence has risen ... has a very good fast ball and decent control ... has a lot of movement on his fastball ... did very well in the Fall ... could be one of the Tigers’ top pitchers out of the bullpen ... adds experienced depth to the Tigers’ pitching staff.  

2006 Season:  Appeared in 14 games as a junior ... made two starts early in the season ... posted a 2-2 record with one save and a 6.03 E.R.A. ... suffered 9-4 loss to Mount St. Mary’s in home opener, allowing three earned runs in 2.2 innings ... allowed two runs on three hits in two innings of relief against Coppin State ... made second start of season at North Carolina and suffered second of loss of the season ... picked up first win of season with excellent five-inning relief stint at George Washington ... earned relief victory when Tigers pulled out a 12-9 win ... pitched three effective innings against Delaware in 15-10 loss ...  posted a 2.55 E.R.A. in final seven appearances of season, allowing five earned runs in 17.2 innings of work with nine strikeouts ... earned second win of season by pitching three scoreless innings of relief at Temple in Tigers’ 9-8 win ... walked one batter and struck out two ... threw two perfect innings in Tigers’ 5-2 win over Delaware State ...  starts ... pitched 1.2 scoreless innings of relief in 4-2 loss to James Madison ... did not allow an earned run in 3.1 innings of relief against JMU in 8-4 loss ... earned first career save with two innings of effective relief in 11-8 win at Hofstra ... pitched 4.2 innings of solid relief in Tigers’ 18-inning loss to Old Dominion with three strikeouts.

2005 Season:  Pitched in 15 games as a sophomore ... made six starts ... pitched two combined shutouts ... threw 49.1 innings, 4th on the team ... had 13 walks and 31 strikeouts ... allowed one run on four hits in 5-0 loss to Charleston ... pitched four innings against the Cougars and had five strikeouts ... made first start of season against Le Moyne in 2nd game of doubleheader ... pitched six innings of shutout ball and earned 3-0 win over the Dolphins ... allowed only three hits with no walks and three strikeouts against Le Moyne ... helped Tigers to an 11-8 win over Buffalo by allowing one earned run in three innings of work with three strikeouts ... started and suffered first loss of season at North Carolina, pitching five innings in 6-4 Tiger loss ... started against Delaware and received no-decision in Tigers’ 20-19 come-from-behind win ... earned relief win over Temple by giving  up one unearned run in one-inning stint of 7-5 victory ... threw two shutout innings of relief in 21-4 win over James Madison ...  helped Tigers to a 10-3 win at Bucknell by allowing one run in three innings with three strikeouts ... outdueled All-CAA pitcher Stacen Gant in Tigers’ 6-1 win at George Mason ... allowed only one run on seven hits with two walks and three strikeouts in 5.2 innings of work ... combined with Matt Holley, Jon Tapper, Jason Summerlin, Dennis Lane and Steve Johnson to pitch a four-hit shutout against LaSalle in the Tigers’ final regular season home game ... gave up six runs in relief effort to suffer 16-14 loss at William & Mary in final regular season game.

2004 Season:  Appeared in 12 games ... made one start ... pitched 31 innings and had a 1-1 record with a 9.29 ERA ... walked 18 batters and had 20 strikeouts ... pitched well in second half of season ... earned first collegiate win with six innings of solid relief against Delaware in 9-7 win ... allowed two unearned runs and five hits against the Blue Hens ... gave up one run in 1.1 innings of work   in win over Maryland ... threw two shutout innings in 9-3 win over Bucknell ... had five strikeouts in three-inning relief appearance at UNC Wilmington ... made only start of season at George Washington and suffered a 14-3 loss ... allowed five earned runs in three innings of work against the Colonials ... allowed one earned run and had two strikeouts in 2.2 innings of relief against William & Mary.

Background:   Earned All-Wasaren League honors as a senior ... named as League MVP ... had 17 strikeouts in one game for the Pioneers ... posted a 5-3 record with a 1.15 E.R.A. as a senior ... had 16 walks and 99 strikeouts in 53.1 innings of work ... member of Coach Dave Cook’s New York state runner-up in 2001 ... helped the Pioneers post a 36-7 record as a sophomore ... played golf and basketball in high school.
