Mike Moyseenko

Mike Moyseenko enters his fourth season as an assistant coach at Towson.

He originally joined the staff prior to the 2013 season as a quality control coach, before being promoted to wide receivers coach prior to the 2014 season.

The 2015 wide receiver corps was a young group that returned only player who had double digit receptions from the previous season.

The group was aided with the return of Brian Dowling.  He missed the entire 2014 season with an injury and came back in 2015 to catch 35 passes for 325 and a team-high three touchdowns.  

Andre Dessenberg, the top returner entering last season, had another strong campaign as he caught 28 passes and a pair of touchdowns.

Junior college transfer Christian Summers made an immediate impact as he led the team by averaging 14.2 yards on 26 receptions.  

In his first season coaching the receivers, the Tigers top three receivers combined to catch 111 passes.  Senior Spencer Wilkins led the way with 45 receptions for 500 yards.  One of his biggest catches came against rival Delaware when he a caught a 39-yard touchdown to tie the game late in the fourth quarter.

Fellow senior Derrick Joseph caught 37 passes, while Dessenberg had 29 receptions and tied for the team lead with three touchdowns.

Moyseenko came to Towson after spending the 2012 season as the wide receivers coach at Shepherd College.  In his one season at SU, he helped the Rams to an 11-2 record and the Division II playoffs.

He joined the coaching ranks in 2008, spending three seasons as the offensive coordinator for the American Indoor Football League’s Baltimore Mariners.

In his final season on staff, he helped the Mariners capture the AIFA championship.  He was not the only current member of the Tigers coaching staff to be a part of the championship team as defensive line coach Konstantinos Kosmakos was a team captain for the Mariners.

Moyseenko spent the 2011 season serving as the quarterbacks coach at Good Counsel High School.  He helped the team to perfect 12-0 record and the WCIAC championship.  The Falcons would end the season ranked No. 4 in the nation.

He graduated from Maryland in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in physiology and neurobiology  He was a walk-on quarterback for the Terrapins before joining the staff as a student assistant.

Moyseenko and his wife, Kerrie, reside in the Towson area.
