2019: Walter Payton Award Watch List... Preseason All-American by STATS, also a member of the CAA Preseason All-Conference Team... Starting running back until season-ending injury during third game of the season... Towson's primary runner and kick returner, amassing 337 all-purpose yards... Ran the ball 22 times for 162 yards (7.4 yards a carry) and two touchdowns, adding 62 receiving yards and a score plus 109 kick return yardage off four returns... Scored three touchdowns in victory at The Citadel (8/31), two on the ground and one receiving, running for 74 yards on nine carries... Rushed for 89 yards on 12 carries plus a 25-yard catch in win vs. N.C. Central (9/7)... Earned undergraduate degree in May.

2017: Appeared in five games as a redshirt sophomore … had 48 rushing attempts before suffering an injury … covered 160 yards … had a rushing touchdown in the season opener against Morgan State (Sept. 2) … had a season-best 58 yards at Saint Francis (Sept. 16), including a season-long 18-yard run … caught 11 passes for 67 yards, including 53 yards at FBS opponent Maryland (Sept. 9) … returned six kicks for 123 yards, including a season-best 24 yarder at Maryland.
2016: Appeared in all 11 games, getting the start at running back in the final seven games…finished season with 784 yards and three touchdowns…added nine receptions for 64 yards…returned 34 kickoffs for 915 yards and a touchdown…ranks second on the single-season list for kickoff return yards…opened season by setting a school record with 229 kickoff return yards against South Florida…posted first career 100-yard rushing game with 106 yards on just 12 carries against Richmond…tied a school record with a 100-yard kickoff return against New Hampshire…carried season-high 23 times for 187 yards in a win over Elon…followed it up by becoming just the second freshman to eclipse 200-yard mark with 202 yards and a touchdown against William & Mary.
2015: Appeared in four games before season was cut short due to injury…rushed 14 times for 108 yards and a touchdown…added three receptions for 17 yards…caught a 13-yard pass in the season opener at East Carolina…rushed five times for 36 yards, while adding 31 yards on two kickoff returns against Holy Cross…posted 72 yards on nine carries, including a 49-yard touchdown run, against Elon.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played for head coach Steve Shiffert at Easton High School…earned first-team all-state honors after rushing for 2,124 yards and 41 touchdowns as a senior…set school record with seven touchdowns in one game…finished career with 4,780 rushing yards, 1,587 receiving yards and 85 touchdowns…named a Blue/Grey All-American…selected to participate in the Big 33 Classic…also a state finalist in the 100-meter dash.
PERSONAL: Son of Troy and Yolanda Simpson…has one sister, Tenesia…majoring in sport management.
