2018: Team captain, starting all 12 games on the defensive line...had 36 tackles, seven tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, a forced fumble and five quarterback hurries...had at least three tackles in nine games...recorded four tackles with a sack in win at Villanova on Sept. 15...season-high five tackles at Delaware on Oct. 27.

2017: Played and started in the first four games of his redshirt junior season along the defensive line … posted eight tackles, four solo and four assisted … had 1.5 tackles for loss, accounting for five yards … recovered one fumble and returned it for three yards.

2016: Appeared in all 11 games…made 10 starts at all three defensive line positions…finished season with 36 tackles, including 3.5 tackles-for-loss and a sack…recovered a fumble on the first play of the game against Saint Francis…registered five tackles in back-to-back games against Stony Brook and Dartmouth…made season-high six tackles, including a sack, in the victory over William & Mary.

2015: Appeared in all 11 games…finished the season with 27 tackles, seven tackles-for-loss and a team-best four sacks…also forced two fumbles and had a quarterback hurry…made three stops, including two for loss and a sack in the victory over Holy Cross…recorded a sack and forced a fumble in the victory over Stony Brook…tied season high with five tackles, and also forced a fumble, in the shutout victory over Delaware.

2014: Sat out as a redshirt.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for head coach Che Jacobs at Booker T. Washington High School…selected as the Eastern District Co-Player of the Year…earned first-team all-district honors as an offensive and defensive lineman…named First-Team All-Tidewater on defense…also played basketball and basebal…garnered First-Team All-Eastern District accolades on the hardwood.

PERSONAL: Son of Wilbert Upshur and Brena Harps…has two brothers, Avery and Quinton, and one sister, India…brother, Quinton, played basketball at Northern Arizona, while brother, Avery, played baseball at Shaw.…majoring in criminal justice.
