Fletcher graduated from Miami University with a B.S. in exercise physiology. At Miami, Fletcher played basketball as a three-year starter and was named team captain in his senior campaign. He guided his team to the Mid-American Conference Championship in 2007 and he was named Miami’s Defensive Player of the Year in 2010.

A native of St. Albans, W.Va., Fletcher obtained his master's degree in exercise science (strength and conditioning) at Edith Cowan University in Australia.
