Towson University Assistant Athletics Director for Fan Development Mike Hollis announced that Emily Hill has joined his staff as a Manager of Group Sales and Promotions.
“We are very excited to bring back a former Towson athlete to help make a difference in our strategic marketing and ticket sales efforts,” said Hollis. “Emily’s previous experience in the CAA and passion for Towson Athletics will help us reach the next level.”
Hill, who is a 2011 Towson graduate returns to the Tigers after spending the past year as the Assistant Director of Marketing and Promotions at the College of William & Mary. At William & Mary, Hill was responsible for developing and executing marketing plans for each sport to increase season, group and single game ticket revenue. She helped increase student attendance at athletic events, organized corporate sales agreements and fulfilled sponsorship requirements. Hill also served as a liaison for the Pep band, cheerleaders and dance team on game days.
Hill received her Bachelors of Science degree in Mass Communication. While at Towson, Hill was a four-year letter winner for the gymnastics team. She was a two-time All-East Coast Athletic Conference honoree in the uneven bars. Hill was also named an ECAC Scholar Athlete and a USAG and Towson Scholar Athlete.
As an undergraduate, Hill served as a marketing intern for the Tigers and assisted with football, soccer, basketball and gymnastics marketing and promotional efforts. She helped execute game-day promotions and other special events aimed to increase fan attendance. Hill also worked in the Baltimore Orioles career introductory program, which made her responsible for enhancing various aspects of the fan experience and guest services at Camden Yards.
