Wittig joined the Tigers from the University of Tulsa. He spent the past year working as the development assistant for the Golden Hurricane Club. In that role, Wittig assisted in the coordination of the annual fundraising campaign, managed communication tools, assisted in oversight of club level and suites during football games, assisted in sport reunions and more.

Wittig earned his Bachelors degree in management from Western Illinois in 2010 and completed his Masters degree in sport management, also from Western Illinois, in 2012.

While working on his degrees at Western Illinois, Wittig served as the Interim Director of Marketing for a year. While in that position, he led the marketing initiatives for 20 sports while increasing attendance for both men’s and women’s basketball and football revenue. Wittig was the Tournament Director of the 2011 Leatherneck Club Golf Classic and served as the Project Manager for the 2011 Purple and Gold Auction Fundraiser. He assisted with sponsorship sales, coordinated game day promotions and oversaw social media and email marketing campaigns.

Wittig also spent time while at Western Illinois as the development intern. In that position, he assisted in the Leatherneck Club annual campaign, enhanced communications with constituents through email campaigns and managed member benefits for the Leatherneck Club.
