Ramone Cooper has joined the Athletic Academic Achievement Staff as an Athletics Academic Advisor in July 2011, it has been announced by Assistant Director of Athletics for Academic Achievement Bobbi Madison.
Cooper will serve as the academic advisor for the Tiger football team and as Coordinator for the Class Check Program.
"We are very excited to have Ramone join the staff," said Madison. "He is an excellent addition and comes to Towson with unique ideas from the Louisville staff."
Cooper graduated from Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Performance and Sports Science with a concentration in Exercise Science in 2009. He also earned a Master's of Science degree with a concentration in Sport Administration from the University of Louisville in 2011.
While at Louisville, Ramone served as a tutor for student-athletes during the 2009-2010 season. Later, he became an Intern/Graduate Assistant, working as an academic advisor assistant for Football, Women's Basketball, Men's and Women's Track and Field, and Softball.
The Huntsville, Alabama native ran track at the University of Alabama-Huntsville prior to attending Tennessee State.
Cooper has one son, Trey.
