Dr. Richard G. Levine is a board-certified orthopedist,
specializing in sports medicine and knee and shoulder surgery. He received his
undergraduate degree from Cornell University, where he played Division I soccer
and lacrosse.
Dr. Levine attended medical
school at the State University of New York HSCB and did his residency in
orthopaedic surgery at the UMDNJ New Jersey Medical School - Univeristy
Hospital. He completed his fellowship in arthroscopy and sports medicine at
Union Memorial Hospital and is now part of the residency and fellowship
teaching faculty there.
He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic
Surgeons, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Arthroscopy
Association of North America, and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Levine is a participating physician of the Arnold Palmer
Sportshealth Center at Union Memorial Hospital. In addition to his role as the
orthopedic medical director for Towson University, he is in his ninth year as
assistant team physician for the Baltimore Ravens and 10th year as
head team physician for the Baltimore Blast. Dr. Levine is the head team
physician for Goucher College, College of Notre Dame, John Carroll High School,
and is a member of the US Lacrosse medical team. Additionally, he provides
local medical care for a variety of national organizations, including NCAA
lacrosse, the World Wrestling Association, the PGA, and Cirque de Soleil.
