Biography

Tara Stritch is a senior assistant athletic trainer for Towson University.

She spent six years (2006-12) as an assistant athletic trainer at Sacred Heart University, where she covered men's lacrosse, women's volleyball and men's and women's soccer and rowing. In 2009, she volunteered at the US Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif. Stritch also worked as a clinical instructor and adjunct professor at Sacred Heart.

Prior to Sacred Heart, Stritch worked as an assistant athletic trainer at Manhattanville College from 2004-06 covering women's ice hockey, men's lacrosse, baseball and men's and women's soccer.

Stritch earned her bachelor's degree in kinesiology/athletic training from the University of Connecticut in 2001 where, as a student, she covered men's ice hockey and women's soccer. She served as a student athletic trainer with the New England Seawolves, an arena football league team, in 2000. Stritch completed an internship at Trinity College from 2001-02 and earned a masters in education while a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Sacred Heart from 2002-04.

Away from Towson, Stritch has been an NATA home study reviewer since 2009 and has worked as the head athletic trainer at Nike lacrosse and soccer camps since 2006.

She also serves as assistant athletic trainer for the U.S. Women's Lacrosse National Team. Stritch was named to the position in the fall of 2013 and will work with the team through the next World Cup which will be held in England in 2017.

She is a CPR/AED professional rescuer instructor and served on the Connecticut Athletic Trainers' Association (CATA) elections committee from 2002-09.
