Biography

A 4-year starter in the outfield for the Tiger baseball team, Steve Farling '95 was inducted into the Towson Hall of Fame in 2006.

A native of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, he batted .334 during his college career. One of the leading hitters in school history, he batted .334 during his college career with 215 base hits, 152 runs scored, 32 home runs, 130 runs batted in and 40 stolen bases.

Honored as an All-Big South Conference selection twice, he owned the Tiger career records for base hits and runs scored when he graduated. As a freshman in 1991, he was one of the top hitters for the Tigers’ East Coast Conference (ECC) championship team.

A .348 hitter as a freshman, he batted .600 in the ECC Tournament to lead the Tigers to the title and an NCAA Tournament berth. As a senior, he batted .360 and led the Big South Conference with 12 home runs and 44 RBIs. He hit over .300 in each of his four years on the team.
