A University of Rhode Island graduate and former member of the Cameroon men's national basketball team, Bitee enters his ninth year with the program in 2024-25.
He serves as an assistant coach after previously being Towson's director of student-athlete development, being promoted after the 2020-21 campaign. He also is an assistant coach for the Cameroon national team for which he formerly played, most recently in the 2023 African Qualifiers.
Towson finished the 2023-24 season winning 20-plus games for a school record third straight season and reached the CAA Championship Semifinals for the third straight year. The Tigers will return 81 percent of the scoring and 80 percent of minutes played for 2024-25, including CAA Rookie of the Year Tyler Tejada.
During the 2022-23 season, Towson earned its second-straight 20+ win campaign and finish in the CAA semifinal round, including the best start in program history at 5-0. Three Tigers earned All-CAA recognition, including Nicolas Timberlake and Cam Holden each being named to the NABC All-District Honors.Â
In his first year as an assistant coach, Bitee helped Towson earn the program's first-ever CAA regular season title and berth into the National Invitation Tournament. The Tigers finished 25-9 and 15-3 in the CAA, with three players earned all-league honors including Cam Holden and Nicolas Timberlake on the First Team. It was the winningest Division I and CAA season in program history.
Bitee's responsibilities include organizing all game and practice edits and assisting the coaching staff in formulating scouting efforts; devising and implementing class check schedule for all men's basketball student athletes.

He also assists in programming and education of the development of student-athletes and provides mentoring as needed. Bitee also assists with Towson's Total Tiger program and helps organize team community service efforts.
Bitee served as an assistant coach for the Cameroon National Team in September 2018.Â

Bitee understands the challenges many international student-athletes that come to the United States face in hopes of bettering their lives through academics and athletics.

Bitee was a standout at Rhode Island in which he was named to the Atlantic-10's All-Defensive Team. Bitee enjoyed a sensational senior season where he helped lead the team to 21 victories and a trip to the National Invitational Tournament (NIT).

The Yaounde, Cameroon native registered career-highs in several statistical categories: scoring (11.8), field goal percentage (.496), field goals made (128), three-point field goal percentage (.512), three-point field goals made (65), assists (156), steals (26). His .512 three-point field goal percentage was among the tops in the nation and was just one 3FG make short of setting a new URI single-season record for 3FG proficiency.

Bitee was selected to serve as an assistant coach for the Cameroon National Team in September 2018. Bitee coached during the fourth FIBA window in the qualifying competition for the World Championships.

Bitee played on the
Cameroonian men's national basketball team that won the silver medal at the
FIBA Africa Championship 2007. Bitee has played professionally for seven years in five countries (Morocco, Qatar, France, Belgium and Angola).
Bitee and his wife, Jillian, have three children, Zayden, Klay, and Zaria.
