Biography

2021-22: Primary forward off the bench, helping the Tigers win the CAA regular season title and earn a berth into the NIT... played in 29 games with a start at Elon (1/15)... shot 48.4% from the field for 6.3 points and four rebounds a game... six double figure scoring games on the year... scored 12 points, going 4-for-5 from the field, and grabbed five rebounds vs. Monmouth (11/13)... near double-double on nine points and eight rebounds in win over Hofstra (1/11), following with 14 points and team-best nine rebounds in win at Elon (1/15) in a start... season-high 15 points, adding eight boards, in home win over Charleston (1/20)... member of the CAA Commissioner's All-Academic Team.

2020-21: Played in five games, including four starts, before missing the rest of the year due to injury... was averaging 7.2 points and 4.6 rebounds per game, shooting 43.3% from the field... ended the year with pair of double-digit scoring games, including 14 points at George Mason (12/23) and 12 points and nine rebounds in victory over Coppin State (12/26)... free year of eligibility due to COVID-19 pandemic.

2019-20:
Played in 24 games and missed the final eight contests with an injury … Averaged 7.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 0.6 blocks in 22.1 minutes … Scored in double figures seven times this season including a career high 19 points in the Tigers season opening win over George Washington … Scored 14 points and finished with six rebounds in a win over Saint Joseph’s … Had eight rebounds in wins over Bryn Athyn and James Madison … Made 18 3-pointers, including a season best three against George Washington … Had two steals each in games against George Washington, Hofstra and Delaware … Had 10 games in which he finished with at least five rebounds … Handed out a season best three assists Hofstra and UNCW … His 14 blocked shots tied for second on the Tigers … Helped Towson win 19 games, finish third in the CAA with 12 conference victories and win seven consecutive conference contests for the first time in program history.

Prior To Towson: A transfer from the University of San Diego ... Played two years for the Toreros leading the team in steals as a freshman and finishing third in blocked shots as a sophomore ... Played in 65 games and made 24 starts for San Diego ... This past season, Gray helped the Toreros advance to the College Insider.com Tournament quarterfinals and win 20 games ... Averaged 5.9 points and 3.3 rebounds as sophomore ... Shot 48.3 percent (73-for-151) ... Scored a career best 18 points in a road win at San Francisco and had 17 points in a win over Loyola Marymount ... Recorded a double-double (11 points, 11 rebounds) against Pepperdine ... Made all six of shots, including four 3-pointers, during a 16-point performance against Saint Mary's ... During his freshman year when he averaged 7.2 points and 5.6 rebounds, Gray scored in double figures 10 times and had a pair of double-doubles against Bethune Cookman (16 points, 17 rebounds) and in a road win at Pepperdine (11 points, 14 rebounds) ...Led the Toreros with 25 steals and converted 43.3% from the field (78-180), 40.9% from three point range (27-66) and 62.1% from the free throw line (41-66).
 
Personal: Son of Winfert and Renee Gray… Has three siblings (Kendall, Andrea, and Tate) …  born in Biloxi, Mississippi… majoring in sport management… enjoys hanging out with friends and customizing shoes… among his favorites are the Cavaliers (pro team), LeBron James and Kevin Durant (athletes), chicken parmesan (meal) and Drake (musician) ... brother, Kendall, was the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Year at Delaware State.
