2007-08 SEASON: Tommy red shirted the 2007-08 season due to an injury he suffered during Towson’s football season. He is a two-sport athlete, playing wide receiver for the Tigers during the fall ... injuries plagued his football career at Towson ... he was sidelined after the 3rd game in 2007 with a foot injury ... this past season he was hampered by a nagging finger injury he received in the Navy game.
2006-07 SEASON: First year with the program after transferring from Blinn Junior College ... signed as a two-sport athlete and to play wide receiver on Towson’s football team ... one of the top defensive basketball players in the CAA with great leaping ability ... became a regular starter midway through the season ... did not start the last three games of the regular season due to an illness ... missed the ESPN BracketBuster game at Bucknell because of the flu ... the Tigers were 11-11 with him as a starter and 4-5 when he came off the bench ... he averaged 7.3 points and 5.2 rebounds and shot a sizzling .642 from the floor as a starter ... led Towson overall with a .614 FG% ... didn’t have enough minimum attempts to qualify for NCAA or CAA stats, nor to break the school field goal percentage record of .589 ... Towson was 5-0 when he was perfect (6-6, 4-4, 3-3, 2-2, 4-4) from the floor ... led the Tigers with 60 blocked shots, fifth most in a single season for Towson and second in the CAA ... third on the squad in rebounding with a 4.5 clip ... top performance came in the Winston Salem State victory when he scored 20 points (6-6 FG, 8-11 FT), grabbed 8 rebounds and blocked 4 shots ... had 7 double-digit scoring games ... registered a career high 6 blocks in the victory over Vermont and in the double overtime loss to VCU in the Towson Center when he also grabbed a season high 11 rebounds ... had 5 blocks in the CAA Tournament win over UNC Wilmington ... attempted one three-pointer all year and missed it ... got hotter at the free throw line as the season progressed, hitting 22 of his last 28 attempts in the final 13 games.
AT BLINN JUNIOR COLLEGE: Tommy was a two-sport athlete at Blinn ... he was a wide receiver on the football team and a center on the Buccaneers’ basketball squad ... he red shirted the 2004 football season but was a starter on Blinn’s run-oriented 2005 team ... he caught two passes for 15 yards including a nine-yard touchdown reception ... played two seasons of basketball, averaging 9.6 points and an impressive 11.3 rebounds per game over his junior college career ... his sophomore year was his best when he averaged 10.6 points and 13.4 rebounds to lead Region XIV ... his .734 field goal percentage would have been a regional best but he fell short of the minimum 140 attempts to be ranked ... over his two-year career at Blinn he shot .603 from the field.
AT RANDALLSTOWN H.S.: Lettered in football, basketball and track at Randallstown ... averaged 12 points, 8 boards and 3 blocks on the basketball court for the Rams ... played in the 2003 Charm City All-Star game ... caught 32 passes for 632 yards and 9 TD’s during his high school football career ... collected two gold medals at the Maryland Class 3A state championships by winning the 200-meter dash in 21.94 seconds and triple jump with a leap of 46 feet, 1 inch ... he swept the triple jump, registering a mark of 46-6 at the Baltimore County championships and a leap of 43-7 at the Class 3A North region meet ... he was third in the 400 at the state championships but took home gold medals from the region meet in both the 200 and the 400.

Breaux ... the oldest of three children in the family ... his brother, Terrance, was a 6-2, 215 lb. wide receiver at the University of Buffalo through his senior year in 2007 ... Terrance led the Bulls in receiving yards (444) and TD’s (3) in 2006 ... his sister, Tyra, is an up and coming basketball player at New Town H.S. ... has held summer jobs working at football camps ... winning the state track and field championship while at Randallstown still tops his list of most memorable experiences ... both parents are graduates of Grambling ... his mother played softball for those Tigers ...
