Biography
Fall 2016: As a freshman Velzoa was the CAA tournament medalist, earning the conference's individual automatic qualifier to the 2014 NCAA Tournament. Over his career he has played in 34 of 40 events, missing three of those tournaments this fall because of putting issues. He may well be on the road back, though, with his strong finish in the Hoya Invitational.
Spring 2016: He averaged 77.5 over 12 rounds in five events. … He shot a season best one under 71 at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate Invitational … Veloza finished among the top 30 at the CAA championships.
Fall 2015: He averaged 75.2 in six tournaments. His best performance was finishing 11th at the Rutgers Invitational after finishing two over par. The Rutgers tournament also included his lowest round of the season as she shot a 70. He also had a pair of top 25 finishes at the Hartford Hawk Invitational (21st) and Whistling Straits Intercollegiate (24th).
2014-15: Competed in 10 of 11 events, boasting a 76.6 scoring average which ranked second on the team ... Carded a season-low 69 during the first round of the Yale Spring Invitational ... Was Towson's top finisher at The Invitaional at the Ocean Course, Til Duty is Done Invitational and the Yale Spring Invitational ... Came on late in the year, finishing among the Top 25 in each of his last three events.
