Biography
2022-23: Played in 10 of the 11 tournaments…had an average of 74.76 per round…was Towson’s top finisher at two tournaments…named CAA Men’s Golfer of the Week (Sept. 21) following his performance at Hartford Hawks Invitational (Sept. 19-20) where he tied for eighth after rounds of 72-66-73, shooting a career low for the second round and helping the Tigers place second overall…competed in the PGA Works Collegiate Championship as an individual, tying for sixth after rounds of 72-77-71…named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District At-Large Team and CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll for fall semester.
2021-22: Competed at PGA WORKS Championship in Philadelphia … played in nine tournaments this season, putting in 24 rounds … averaged a score of 75.96 per round … put in a season-best effort at the Howard Bison Invitational, tying for fourth in a 40-played field (74-81-73–228) … tied for 11th at the Towson Invitational to round out the fall season (75-69-75–219).
2021: Qualified for five-of-six tournaments … shot a season-low 74 during the third round of the Southern Invitational, where he made three birdies and had 12 pars … made two birdies with 11 pars during a 5-over 77 during the final round of the CAA championship … selected to participate in PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship as an individual at TPC Sawgrass.
Prior to Towson: Played for two seasons at nearby Goucher College … had a 71.38 scoring average during the fall 2018 campaign as a freshman at Goucher … took third at the Don Scalf Invitational (69-74-143) … tied for second in the Mason Dixon Collegiate Classic (69-75-144) … won the Revolutionary Collegiate Classic (72-70-142) and the Landmark Conference Preview (72-70-142) … earned Division III All-America Honorable Mention plaudits … finished second in the Landmark Conference Preview as a sophomore ... overall averaged 74.1 strokes per round during his two years at Goucher ... two-time Costa Rican National Champion (72-74-76-74-296, 71-75-73-69-288) … had a top-10 finish at the Abierto de Lima (70-70-71-76-287) … played in the 2019 Latin American Amateur Championship … earned bronze at the Central American Olympics in 2017 (74-68-74-76-292) … named the best golfer in Costa Rica for the 2017-18 season by the Journalist and Sport Reporter Association of Costa Rica (Círculo de Periodistas y Locutores Deportivos de Costa Rica).
