Biography
2018-19: Competed in nine events and finished with a 76.6 average over 24 rounds … Helped Towson finish second at the Patriot Intercollegiate by tying 17th overall (+3) … Shot a season best 68 (-2) in the third round of the Doc Gimmler Invitational … Bachelor had two top 20 finishes in the fall. Bachelor was named CAA Co-Golfer of The Week after tying for 12th at the Hartford Hawk International (-3) and was Towson’s top finisher at the event… In his 13 fall rounds, Bachelor shot under par on three separate occasions … Bachelor helped Towson tie for first overall at the Towson Invitational by tying for 46th overall (+11)… Bachelor concluded his Towson career strong at the CAA Championship where he started his final round with six consecutive pars … Shot 234 at the CAA Championship where he had one of the Tiger’s three eagles during the event.
2017-18: Competed in all 10 events and finished with a team best 72.8 average over 28 rounds … In finishing fourth individually at the Loyola Intercollegiate with a score of 201, Bachelor etched his name into the Towson history books with an effort for the ages at the Palm Valley Golf Club. He is now the low scorer in relation to par in any tournament in Towson men's golf history at 15 under par … He shot a career low 65 (-7) in the second round, which was the third lowest round in relation to par by a Towson men's golfer in program history … Was Towson’s best individual finisher in five events … Had three top 10 finishes … Was third at the Navy Spring Invitational (150 +8) and tied for ninth at the Kingsmill Invitational (228 +18) … Had his first ever hole-in-one on the 158-yard, three-par seventh hole in the third round of the Hartford Hawk Invitational … Was tied for 18th at the CAA Championships (229 +13) … Had seven under par rounds and three rounds of par … Had five rounds under 70 … All three of his rounds at the Loyola Intercollegiate were in the 60s (68-65-68).
2016-17: Averaged 77.7 while competing in five events and playing 13 rounds … Fired a career best 71 in the first round of the Towson Invitational where he finished tied for 12th overall … It was his only under par round of the season.
PRIOR TO TOWSON: He was the MVP of the Murrieta Valley golf team during his senior season. He averaged even par in the league and shot a 69 at the CIF championship … He also played football where he started every game for the Nighthawks.
PERSONAL: He is the son of Bill and Claudine Bachelor. He has two older siblings, Kane and Brittany …He’s a huge fan of the Portland Trailblazers and his favorite athlete is Jackie Moon …His favorite movie is “Elf” and favorite actor is Will Ferrell … He loves eating steak and potatoes…He lists Elvis Pressley as his favorite musician … His most experience has been making the Towson golf team. …Majoring in economics.
