Biography
2021: Played in 13 games as a senior defensive midfielder … made his first career appearance against Saint Joseph’s (Feb. 13) in an overtime win … caused two turnovers, once against Saint Joseph’s, the second at Delaware (March 20) … nabbed eight ground balls as well, including a career-best three at Delaware … served just one penalty all season.
2020 Season: Did not see the field as a junior defensive midfielder.
2019 Season: Did not see time as a midfielder during his sophomore season.
2018 Season: Did not see time in his rookie campaign as a midfielder.
High School: Four-year varsity starter at midfield at Kennett High School for head coaches Mike McConomy and Sean Tischler … named all-area first team … earned Chestmont first team honors … named offensive MVP twice … also a member of the varsity basketball, track and football teams … earned honor roll status off the field.
Personal: Prefers to go by John … son of Mark and Claire Finfrock … one of five children … sisters are Jill, Lisa and Sara, younger brother is Luke … Sara was a member of the track team at West Virginia University … father also wrestled at West Virginia … most admires his parents … favorite athlete is Tiger Woods … fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins … majoring in finance at Towson.
