Biography

2022: CAA Co-Player of the Week (March 7) … CAA All-Tournament Team … accounted for the fourth-most points on the team with 21 goals and 19 assists for 40 points … scored back-to-back hat tricks at Loyola Maryland (March 2) and UMBC (March 5) en route to CAA Co-Player of the Week honors … scored a career-best six points against UMBC with another two assists … had at least one point in the last nine games of the season … had one of the top shooting percentages in the country at 45.7 percent … put 71.7 percent of his shots on goal … scored a man-down goal in the CAA Championship game against Delaware (May 7) … had nine ground balls with two caused turnovers … had just two penalties for 30 seconds.

At Johns Hopkins: Appeared in 40 games for the Blue Jays as a reserve attackman and extra-man specialist … scored seven career goals for the Jays, adding six assists … six of his seven goals were on the power play … scored one game-winner in 2019.

Personal: Full name is Luke James Shilling … son of Dawn and Andy, Towson’s volunteer assistant coach … has three siblings: AJ, Ely and Ashby … Ely interns for the media relations department at Towson … hobbies include golf and rollercoasters … works at a golf course, coaches lacrosse and works in a warehouse in the summer … most admires his grandparents … enjoys the Harry Potter book series … favorite athlete is Ed Reed … favorite meal is crab cakes … favorite musician is Morgan Wallen … favorite memory is winning the legacy award in high school … works with Our Daily Bread in the community … fifth-year senior studying criminal justice at Towson … plans to enter the Secret Service after graduation.
