Michael Pivec serves as the head equipment manager for Towson Athletics. He runs the Field House equipment room for various Tiger teams, including being responsible for football, men’s/women’s lacrosse, and track and field.
His role includes the maintaining, repairing and distribution of all athletic apparel and equipment for his teams, designing and creation of uniforms, working with Under Armour and BSN Sports for apparel and equipment purchases plus hiring and supervising student-workers and interns for the equipment room.
Before returning to his alma mater of Towson, Pivec was an equipment room and facility manager at Loyola University Maryland from March 2016 to April 2018, overseeing the day-to-day operations and maintaining the school’s athletic facilities.
He spent over three years as an athletics, intramurals and events assistant for CCBC Essex/Dundalk, plus did an internship for the Maryland Stadium Authority in the summer of 2013.
Pivec graduated from Towson in 2014 with a degree in sports management, minoring in business administration. He is an Athletic Equipment Managers Association certified equipment manager. He lives with his wife in Overlea, Maryland.
