    Diving Coach
In July of 2019, Ben Herboth was hired as the diving coach for the Towson University men's and women's swimming teams.

During his first season, Herboth saw his divers win weekly accolades from the Colonial Athletic Association. Will Canny won CAA diver of the week six times during the season while rookie Ajani Dorner won the CAA rookie diver of the week four times. On the women's side he saw much success with Christina Coleman. She won numerous awards during the season as well.

Herboth also saw Canny compete at the NCAA Zone A diving championships for the second year in a row.

Herboth joined the Tiger family after a stint at California State University Bakersfield. While at CSU Bakersfield he coached multiple Zone E qualifiers every year and multiple academic All-Americans. The diving team shattered every school record on both the men's and women's sides. Herboth also coached Carlee Burks to the hardest collegiate 1m diving list in the nation.

Before CSU Bakersfield, Herboth served as the head coach for five different high schools in the Research Triangle area of North Carolina. He coached multiple top five finishes at the state championship level including the 2011 4A state champion.

A native of Charlotte, North Carolina Herboth grew up diving under current University of Kentucky head coach Ted Hautau where he was a five time national qualifier and 2002 junior national silver and bronze medalist. He was a three time first team All-American at East Mecklenburg High School.

Herboth is a former USA diving national qualifier and placed in the top five at the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Championships on both boards while diving at the University of North Carolina. As a Tar Heel, he was the highest point scorer for a UNC swimmer or diver at the 2005 ACC Championships and recipient of the David F. McGinnis award for Most Outstanding Diver at Chapel Hill.
