Alli Florian

After working with the Colorado Rockies, Alli Florian has joined the Towson University softball team as an assistant coach beginning in the 2025 season.
 
Florian, a softball player at Mississippi State and Duke, comes to Towson after two years with the Rockies in Major League Baseball (MLB).  She served in an analytics and technical role, primarily as an R&D analyst.  She worked with the hitting coordinator and coaches for drills and practice plans and used analytics for research, scouting and initiatives for the team.  Her work greatly assisted the Rockies for the 2023 MLB Draft and the 2022-24 seasons.
 
Florian served as an outfielder at Mississippi State from 2021-22, playing in 82 games and helping the Bulldogs to a pair of NCAA Tournament berths, including a trip to the NCAA Super Regional in 2022.  Florian was recognized on the 2022 SEC Honor Roll and 2021 SEC First-Year Honor Roll.  While at Mississippi State, she was the community and events chair for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and M-Club.
 
A native of Kannapolis, North Carolina, she finished her undergraduate degree from Duke in 2020 in psychology, minoring in education.  She earned her Master's Degree from Mississippi State in 2022 in business administration with a minor in business analytics.
