Chris Downs is starting his 14th season on the softball staff as a volunteer assistant coach.
A middle school history teacher at the Gilman school, Downs also coaches baseball and basketball.
In addition to his teaching duties, Downs spent 14 years of his career as a lawyer and now practices law part-time. He graduated from Haverford in 1982 with a degree in psychology. He earned his JD from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1986 and his NAT from College of Notre Dome in 1999.
Downs, who lives in the area with his wife, Mary Alane and their two daughters, has been coaching club softball in the area for over five years and 14U baseball for 15 years.
