Nick French has rejoined the Towson University softball team as an assistant coach for the upcoming 2025 season. He will primarily work with the Tiger pitching staff.
French previously worked as an assistant coach for Towson softball in 2017.
French arrives back at Towson after spending the 2024 season as the Director of Player Development for the University of Georgia softball team. He previously served as the head coach of the Bryant University softball team from 2019-2023 after joining Bryant from Towson in 2018.
French has worked as a coach since he was 14 years old, and in his career has spent time on staff with Arizona, Memphis, Holy Cross, Simmons (Mass.) College, and Piedmont (Pa.) College in addition to two stints at Georgia and his previous season with the Tigers.
At Arizona, French served as the volunteer assistant coach and oversaw the daily operations of a team that would finish as national runners-up.
French spent four seasons at Holy Cross where he primarily worked with the pitching staff. During his time in Worcester, pitcher Gennifer Durham threw a perfect game in 2013 which was the first in Holy Cross history and the second in Patriot League history.
French was an assistant coach for a Memphis team that achieved its first NCAA Regional berth in program history. The team had a school record 10-game winning streak during that season.
French graduated from Emerson College in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in journalism and assisted with the softball program during his time there.
