Daniel Harper joins the Towson University women's track and field staff as a volunteer assistant for the 2018-19 school year, following a four-year stint as the Calvert Hall College High School assistant coach for sprints, hurdles and relays.
Harper was with the Cardinals through three straight conference titles in men's 100m, 55m and 200m events. He also helped lead the team to the 2018 MIAA A Conference Indoor Championship title and secure the win as MIAA A Conference Champion in 55m event. Under his leadership the Cardinals won the MIAA A Conference Outdoor Championships three consecutive years.
Outside of high school track, Harper is also the head coach of the EYT Spartans Track Club. He has coached a two-time Junior Olympic sprinter, in 2015 one of his triple jump athletes took eighth place in the Junior Olympics, and in 2017 three of his athletes were Indoor National Champions.
