Davon Robb serves Towson Athletics as the Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Event Management. In this role, Robb will provide leadership to the athletics facilities management group under the direction of TU Facilities Management and serve as a member of the athletics senior staff on the Athletic Director’s Council. He also serves as sport administrator for soccer and track & field teams.
Robb came to Towson in August 2019 after serving as the associate director of football and basketball operations for the Big Ten Conference in Chicago since 2015. He managed several aspects including game operations, team logistics and security among others for the league’s top revenue events, including the conference’s football championship game, the men’s and women’s basketball tournaments plus the 2016 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament Midwest Regional. He worked with many external partners across several states and cities and was the director for the league’s women’s golf championship.
While a Chicago resident, he was a tournament site director for several NCAA postseason events, including women’s soccer, women’s lacrosse and women’s tennis championship preliminary rounds.
Before joining the Big Ten, Robb was the assistant AD of academic services and student development at Loyola University Chicago, assisting student-athletes with registration, tutors and requirements for the university and the league. He was also the sport administrator for softball. He also spent over five years at Northwestern University as the associate director of academic services, being a Core Advisor for nearly 100 student-athletes.
Robb is a member of the Collegiate Event and Facility Management Association as well as the Minority Opportunities Athletic Association. He formerly was an executive board member of the Ethnic Concern Committee of the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics Region (N4A).
Robb graduated from the University of Virginia in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in anthropology, earning a Master of Arts Degree in sports administration, specializing in sports management, from Northwestern in 2010. He played football at Virginia, serving as a university representative for the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and was a participant at the NCAA National Student-Athlete Leadership Conference.
