Jake Vieux

Jake Vieux joined the Towson athletics department as the director of football performance starting in 2023.

Vieux works as the primary strength and conditioning coach for the Towson football team under head coach Pete Shinnick.  He comes to Towson after three seasons as an assistant football strength and conditioning coach at the University of Maryland. A Colorado Native, Vieux served many roles with the Terps, including the programming and implementation of all warm-up protocols, internship coordinator and was responsible for the programming and the implementation of all training for the Maryland football defensive backs. A group that included 2022 NFL third round pick Nick Cross, 2023 fourth round pick Jakorian Bennett, and 2023 first round pick Deonte Banks.

Vieux previously worked with Shinnick as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of West Florida from June 2018-Dec. 2019, being part of the 2019 DII National Champion UWF football team.  He was also directly responsible for the preparation of both the UWF men’s basketball and women’s golf teams, plus was an internship coordinator.

Before UWF, Vieux was a division two college football player, lead football strength and conditioning intern at Colorado State University, and was a football strength and conditioning intern at the University of Georgia Football Program.

Vieux graduated from Colorado State in 2017 with a degree in health and exercise science.
