Sammie Grant joined the Towson athletics department in July 2022 as a media relations assistant.
Grant comes to Towson after working as an intern for the marketing department at the University of South Carolina from January-May 2022. She worked home basketball, baseball, softball, and track & field events where she helped set up and assist with in-game promotions.
Prior to working at South Carolina, Grant worked as a research intern for the College Sports Research Institute performing research regarding NCAA college sports for further publication from September 2020-December 2020. Some of her research was used in a published article posted on Sportico.
Grant worked at the Sports & Fitness Industry Association from May -August 2019 as a Marketing & Communications Intern where she helped with community engagement and overall promotion of the company by running and creating graphics for all official social media accounts.
Grant graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in sports & entertainment management. She was a member of the varsity swim & dive team.
