Returning for his fifth season as the Tigers' Coordinator of Basketball Operations, Eric Franc is a very important part of the program.
A 2003 graduate of Towson, Franc served as an assistant baseball coach at Lake Erie College prior to returning to his alma mater. He spent three seasons at Lake Erie, serving as a graduate assistant while earning his Master's degree in
curriculum instruction. He also became the team's top assistant and recruiting coordinator.
During his undergraduate career at Towson, Franc was a member of the Tigers' practice squad for three years and served as a student assistant coach during his final semester.
A Physical Education major, he earned Dean's List status during every semester of his college career.
A 1999 graduate of Leonardtown High School, Franc was a member of the baseball and football teams. He earned all-conference honors as a catcher with the baseball team. He also played defensive end and offensive guard for the football team.
In addition to his duties with the basketball program, Franc serves as a professor in the Kinesiology Department at Towson and is an advisor for the University's First Year Experience program.
Franc and his wife, Towson alumna Lauren Carpenter, reside in the Baltimore area. They were married in 2007 and welcomed their first child, Bradley, in October.
