Tanner Plourde joined the Towson athletics department in January 2026 as strength and conditioning assistant. He works primarily with women's lacrosse, field hockey and men's/women's golf.
He came to Towson after being a strength and conditioning coaching assistant at the University of Maryland, leading and coordinating sessions for tennis, wrestling, men's/women's golf and for sprinters and jumpers.
Plourde spent two years as an athletic performance graduate assistant at SIU Edwardsville, working with wrestling, softball, track & field throwers and men's/women's golf. He also had stops at Plymouth State, Lindenwood and New Hampshire. He also worked with high school football teams while with Athletic Evolution and Veritas Performance Training.
Plourde graduated from Plymouth State with a degree in exercise physiology. He earned his Master's Degree from SIU Edwardsville in sport psychology.
