Ashley LeVine

Ashley LeVine, who has been with Towson since 2019, was promoted to associate head gymnastics coach in October 2022.

2025 saw Towson pick up its second consecutive EAGL regular season title, earning 28 regular season victories, tied for most in the country going into the postseason.  Towson finished 33rd in the Road to Nationals rankings, including a perfect 4-0 in EAGL regular season matches.  Towson gymnasts picked up two major league awards: Clara Hong was the EAGL Scholar-Athlete of the Year while Ava Harper was the EAGL Rookie Specialist of the Year.  10 Tigers were recognized in the All-EAGL honors for a combined 21 all-conference selections, highlighted by Isabella Minervini being a five-time All-EAGL selection, including First Team on all-around, vault and bars.  Hong took three First Team All-EAGL awards on bars, beam and floor.  Each Minervini and Hong were selected as NCAA Tournament individual competitors on all-around and beam respectively.

In her first season, LeVine saw the Tigers set and break new records even in a season that ended abruptly due to COVID-19. The Tigers finished 11-10 overall including a 5-1 home record and setting a new attendance record (1,029) on March 6.

LeVine has helped rewrite the program records, particularly on beam; nine of the program's top 11 beam scores have come under LeVine's watch, including a program record 49.400 on February 2, 2022 in a tri-meet with George Washington and William & Mary. During the 2022 season, LeVine helped coach Jenna Weitz to a berth in the NCAA Regional meet at N.C. State. In the spring of 2022, Weitz was named First Team All-EAGL on beam, while teammates Emerson Hurst and Clara Hong were selected Second Team All-EAGL on the same event. Charged with oversight on the floor as well, LeVine coached Amy Stewart and Clara Hong to First Team and Second Team, respectively, All-EAGL honors.

LeVine joined the Tiger family after being the choreographer and team coach at Rebounders Gymnastics. As the USA Gymnastics coach she worked with levels 3-10 on routine and techniques to help them prepare for the meets. She also worked as the Sports Information Director for the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL).

“I am extremely excited to welcome Coach Ashley to our team,” Ramirez said.  “Her breadth of knowledge of the sport combined with her passion is going to take this team to new heights.  Her experience in the conference already as the EAGL SID will also be a huge asset.”

"I have been following Towson Gymnastics since I was a young athlete growing up in the area and have always been impressed with the rich history of the program and the amazing support that it receives from its alumnae and local clubs,” LeVine said.

“I am both thrilled and honored to be a part of Jay's coaching staff. Between the talent, desire, and pride that I see among the athletes on this team, I am excited to watch the limits we can push through this season, and in the future.”

LeVine was the Preschool Enrichment Director and the Marketing and Social Media Manager for the Kinetic Youth Academy & Ninja Warrior.

She also was the Assistant Director at Harford Gymnastics from 2008-2016 where she coached scholarship athletes to Towson University, Ursinus College, Temple University and Gannon University. She also coached pre-team and compulsory from 2008-2010, then levels 8-10 from 2010-2016.

Before LeVine’s coaching stints in Maryland, she was the Athletic Communications Assistant at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. While there she coached level four through nine at the Lewisburg Area Recreation Authority.

A 2007 graduate from the University of Maryland, LeVine was a member of the gymnastics team and was named to the EAGL All-Academic Team from 2004-2007. She was a NAWGJ Scholastic All-American in 2006 and 2007 and was the Maryland Athletics Presidential Award Recipient in 2007. She graduated in the spring of 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in communication.

As a Maryland native, LeVine competed for Harford Gymnastics from 1992-2003 and was a member of Harford’s State Champion Team in level five, six, eight, nine and 10. She held two club all-around records that lasted over 10 years at level five and at level nine. LeVine was a two-time Eastern National Qualifier at level nine (1999, 2000) and a JO National Qualifier at level 10 in 2001. She was honored with the Maryland Outstanding Gymnast Award for level 10 in 2003 as well as the Harford’s Gina Faranetti Memorial Award in 2003. She received the Frank Yapps Memorial Scholarship in 2004.
