Griffin, who won a pair of gold medals with the U.S. National Team in the summer os 2017, begins her first season as a volunteer assistant coach at Towson in 2018.

Griffin was a standout lacrosse star at the University of Maryland between 2010-15. She helped the Terps win four straight Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Championships and the 2014 and 2015 squads that she served as the team captain for won the National Championship.

Griffin still ranks seventh in school history with 198 goals and seventh in points with 279 for her career. She was a two-time All-ACC honoree and also earned All-Big Ten accolades as a senior. Griffin was also named First Team Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-America and All-Region as a junior and a senior. As a senior she was named the Big Ten Attack Player of the Year. Griffin was also named to the Tewarraton Trophy Watch List twice.

Right after graduation, Griffin spent two years as an assistant coach at Boston College.

Griffin won a pair of gold medals this past summer as a member of the U.S. National Team at the World Cup and the World Games. She had a four-goal performance against Scotland in the World Cup.

In the summer of 2018, Griffin will step on the field as part of the Baltimore Brave in the Women’s Professional Lacrosse League (WPLL). She was selected by seventh overall in the inaugural draft class by LaMonica, who will lead the Brave.
