2018: Played in all 19 games during her senior campaign starting in 18… Logged 1318 minutes, playing the most (92) in the overtime win against Loyola Maryland (Sep. 6)... Totaled four shots and one on goal...She had two shots during the season and one on goal against Lehigh (Sep. 12).
 
2017: Saw time in six contests during her first season with the program … made first Tiger appearance in the season opener at UMBC (Aug. 18) … played primarily as a defender … competed in 77 minutes, including 32 at UMBC.

at UConn: Played for two seasons at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, Connecticut … saw the field in 12 games with the Huskies, including nine during her sophomore campaign … logged 289 minutes, with 237 coming during the 2016 campaign … played a career-best 50 minutes against her hometown team, Stony Brook.
 
High School: Played as a center back at Ward Melville High School for head coach John Diehl … in her freshman season, the team won the county title, before winning the league in three straight seasons … as a sophomore, Balzan helped the squad to the county level … three-time all-county selection and was an all-state pick her senior season … that same year, Balzan earned league Player of the Year honors.
