From Istanbul, Turkey, Zeynep Belgutay is a 6’1 middle blocker who played for Fenerbahçe Medicana II, one of Istanbul’s premier volleyball clubs. Belgutay’s heap of international experience will prove to be valuable to a fresh Towson team.
 
“Zeynep plays for Fenerbahçe, which is one of the best clubs in Turkey.  She will add to our depth at the middle blocker position, and she will bring with her many years of international experience which may prove viable in becoming our potential serving middle with defensive capabilities.  She can turn the ball at the top of her contact point, as well as display a high wrist snap which should allow her to maintain a high hitting efficiency for us in the middle.  Zeynep also reads well, effectively closes in both directions, and has a wide range of attacks which will allow us to maintain the flexibility within our offense,” noted Coach Metil.
