Ari Bard joined Towson in September 2022 as assistant athletic director, athletics marketing.

Bard comes to Towson after working at La Salle University as the assistant athletics director for marketing and fan engagement from June 2021-August 2022. He oversaw all marketing efforts for athletics, recruited graduate assistants and student marketing interns, and generated digital content for promotions, social media and email advertising. During his time in this position, Bard increased student attendance at men’s and women’s basketball games, developed a student rewards program that played a key role in increasing student attendance at all sports and developed partnerships with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and VetTix.

Prior to this Bard worked as the associate director of marketing and fan engagement at Rice University from October 2017-June 2021. He was responsible for implementing marketing plans and managing gameday presentation for baseball, soccer, track & field, cross country and swimming. Bard helped increased group sales, season ticket revenue, total tickets sold, overall revenue and attendance for soccer. He also helped achieve highest home attendance since 2010, which set a student attendance record at the 2019 soccer home opener game.

While working towards earning his master’s degree, Bard was a graduate assistant at Georgetown University from August 2016-May 2017. He created and activated marketing plans and managed gameday presentation for women’s basketball and men’s soccer. Bard was also responsible for coordinating costume mascot and Hoya Kids Club Programs.

Bard earned his bachelor's degree in sports management and minor in business administration from Towson University in 2015. He completed his master’s of professional studies in sports industry management from Georgetown University in 2018.
