Dave Updegraff will be the assistant quarterbacks coach for Towson for the 2026 season.
Updegraff comes to Towson after four years as an undergraduate student assistant at Coastal Carolina University, helping the Chanticleers to bowl appearances all four seasons and 29 combined victories.
He started as an offensive manager from 2022-23, helping with day-to-day equipment preparation and practice drills. He moved up to offensive student assistant/assistant tight ends coach from 2024-25, helping with scouting and film breakdown, preparing drills and drawing an offensive run playbook.
He graduated from Coastal Carolina in Dec. 2025 with a degree in business administration, earning Cum Laude honors.
