Eric Ryan joined the Towson athletics department in September 2022 as an assistant director of media relations and graphic design.
Ryan comes to Towson after serving as a media relations intern for the New York Yankees during the 2021 season. He worked spring training and regular season games, producing game and media guide materials for the team. He also acted as a press gate media liaison for games and non-baseball events hosted at Yankee Stadium, such as the New Era Pinstripe Bowl.
Before the Yankees, he was a communications intern at the University of South Florida from January 2019 - May 2019. Among his duties included producing promotional graphics, transcribing statistics and managing team social media accounts.
Between his time with the Yankees and now, he served as a guest list check-in lead for Project Glow D.C. music festival with Insomniac Events. He also previously assisted with the 2019 NCAA Women’s Final Four in Tampa, Fla.
Ryan graduated from the University of South Florida in 2019 with a degree in marketing with a concentration in sports and entertainment management.
