The 2022-23 season will be Ivan Rodriguez's tenth season volunteering with Towson Swimming & Diving. Working closely with Towson Strength & Conditioning and Athletic Training staffs, Ivan is involved and assists with all aspects of Strength & Conditioning and coordinates dryland training for the team. He is also responsible for video operations for all swim meets. Ivan was part of three Colonial Athletic Association Championship teams with the Tigers: two with the women’s team in 2014 and 2015 and one with the men’s team in 2021.
When not working with the Tigers, Ivan is a Certified Personal Trainer with the Y in Central Maryland at the Orokawa Y in Towson. Rodriguez has been with the Y in Central Maryland since 2012 and develops fitness routines for clients of all ages and abilities. He is a 2013 graduate of Towson University with a B.S. in Exercise Science. He received his Master’s degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention from California University of Pennsylvania in 2017. He is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength & Conditioning Association, a Certified Level 1 Sports Performance Coach through USA Weightlifting, a Corrective Exercise Specialist and Performance Enhancement Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and Basic Life Support and First Aid Certified.
